Sporting rifle course – small game and lamping
This one-day course includes a detailed theory of rifle shooting and discipline covered in a classroom, followed by an afternoon/early evening spent in the field simulating lamping situations.
Please note that there is no live shooting on the course.
Numbers on these courses are kept to an absolute maximum of six per day, so you have plenty of one-to-one time with the instructors.

Online Night shooting revision tests
If you’re looking to take your Sporting rifle course – small game and lamping or to test your night shooting knowledge, we’ve provided a series of revision test questions below for to you use in preparation. Click on each link below to take each practice test.
Should there be insufficient bookings, BASC reserves the right to cancel the course. In the interests of fairness, BASC will aim to provide candidates with notification of cancellation as soon as possible prior to the advertised start date.
We strongly recommend that fees for any accommodation you book are refundable as BASC will not be responsible for any losses incurred by candidates.
If for any reason you cancel your place on the course then the following scale of charges may apply:

| Second reallocation to another course (only available eight weeks or more before the course start date AND only in exceptional circumstances) | £50 | £50 |
| Cancellation more than eight weeks before the course start date | 40% | 30% |
| Cancellation less than eight weeks but more than four weeks before the course start date | 75% | 60% |
| Cancellation less than four weeks before the course start date | 100% | 100% |
