Debbie Tedds, the chief constable of Warwickshire Police and chair of the Firearms and Explosives Licensing Working Group on the National Police Chiefs’ Council visited BASC’s head office at Marford Mill on 28 February.
Chief constable Tedds (pictured above) met BASC chief executive Ian Bell and members of the Association’s firearms team to discuss firearms licensing and firearms law. As the UK’s largest shooting association, BASC is a key stakeholder.
Mr Bell said: “We were delighted to welcome Debbie Tedds and her team on her first visit to BASC HQ. We work for a firearms licensing system that is effective in protecting public safety and efficient in its service to those who shoot. I know those goals are shared with the police and by working together we hope to achieve these objectives.”
