Applications for BASC’s Legacy Funded Scholarship Programme have opened for 2022.
The initiative supports recipients in enhancing opportunities for education in the areas of conservation, land management and gamekeeping.
The programme is underpinned by BASC Legacy funding. This year’s scholarships are being awarded in memory of Mr Herbert Heywood, who kindly left a legacy to BASC.
Successful applicants to the programme receive a maximum grant of £4,500 per year. The funding is to be directed towards tuition fees, course costs or study materials and actively supports those keen to forge a successful career in the sector.
2021 scholarship recipients were Lucy Marsden, who is studying Countryside and Environment Management at Harper Adams University, and Oscar Caunce, studying for a BSc (Hons) in Ecolology and Conservation at Edge Hill University.
More information and full details on how to apply for a BASC Legacy Funded Scholarship are available here. The closing date for applications is 2 August 2022.
