Entries are open for this year’s .410 World Championships, sponsored by BASC. The championships take place at Dovey Valley Shooting Ground on 1 October.
The championships are open to all, with categories including an open section, women-only, junior and BASC members. The course will follow a 50-bird sporting target layout, in an exciting re-entry competition format.
This year’s competition boasts some excellent prizes, including 1,000 cartridges, a set of four General Tire 4×4 or SUV tyres, and the use of a Maxus T90 EV pick-up for a week courtesy of Northside.
BASC Wales director, Steve Griffiths, said that competitors are expected from all over the world: “The .410 is a unique event due to it being one of the only championships which uses the smallest calibre shotgun gauge in the UK.Â
“Despite the .410 being the shotgun a lot of us first used when we first started out, shooting with a .410 really does test the skill of the shooter. The championships prove immensely popular every year, with competitors travelling from all over the UK and abroad, including from as far as Australia, to attend.Â
